Francis Hardy Productions is committed to original scripted content (visual and audio) for mainstream, family audiences. It embraces new technology and ways of reaching audiences to produce creatively daring, high quality work. Innovation, not noise.

Its first production was in live entertainment: a bespoke 1940's themed music and dance evening event held at The Courtyard, Shoreditch in March 2017. Since then, the focus has been on scripts, journalism, video and podcasts.

As an employer, Francis Hardy Productions is recognises that meeting diversity and inclusion standards is part of running a successful - and happy - business. Our policy on diversity and inclusion can be read here. Our privacy policy is reviewed regularly.

Writer and producer Susan Gordon

Qualifying as a chartered accountant (ACCA) in 2009, I have eight years’ experience in business and finance, including five years post-qualified work in budgeting and business partnering. In 2016, I retrained as a journalist, with a particular interest in arts and entertainment, and contributed to the Catholic Herald as a freelance writer/editor (Jul 16-Oct 18).

In 2015/16, I had a number of short plays professionally performed through entering script calls from theatre companies, and in March 2018 was shortlisted for the New Playwright Award by BBC Hampshire/Solent for #myhero. This was also longlisted for the Little Wonder radio play competition.

In November 2017, I wrote and directed my first short film, The Lady is a Trout (1 x 5'), and, 6 months later, my second, The King of Hearts (1 x 12'), which features costume design and an original score. An original scripted comedy-mystery podcast, Wuthering's: A Serious Comedy (6 x 20') is available on SoundCloud, Spotify, and Stitcher, and tweets @spokenstory.

I am currently in pre-production for The Hardy Weekend Podcast. A fresh take on contemporary news and topics, it is a Sunday magazine in sound.
