Francis Hardy Productions embraces new technology and ways of reaching audiences to produce creatively daring and high quality work. Innovation, not noise.

Its first production was in live entertainment: a bespoke 1940's themed music and dance evening event held at The Courtyard, Shoreditch in the spring of 2017. The focus has since been on scriptwriting.

Writer and producer Susan Gordon

I have 10 years’ experience in management and finance, including five years ACCA post-qualified work in budgeting and business partnering. In 2016, I retrained as a journalist with a NCTJ post-graduate qualification, and subsequently worked at the Catholic Herald as a freelance writer-editor (Jul 16-Oct 18). I am now a freelance writer, ghostwriter, and editor for the public and for commercial entities.

I was fortunate enough to see a number of my short plays performed through entering script calls from theatre companies, and in March 2018 was shortlisted for the New Playwright Award by BBC Hampshire/Solent for #myhero. This was also longlisted for the Little Wonder radio play competition. In 2017/18, I wrote and directed my first short film, The Lady is a Trout (1 x 5'), and, 6 months later, my second, The King of Hearts (1 x 12'), which featured inventive costume design and an original score. In 2018/2019, I wrote and produced an original scripted comedy-mystery podcast, Wuthering's: A Serious Comedy (6 x 20').

In 2020, I wrote and independently published a collection of original short stories. Its themes were the supernatural, Greek mythology reworked, and obsession. In 2021, I returned to scriptwriting, with a special focus on visual storytelling and genre, and three new short film scripts drafted.
